This was a sketch thing I did of Jannie a while ago. I know I like to cut peoples heads off but there actually is another half to this painting. My scanner decided to stop working about 3/4 of the way through the scan and then I had to crop it in the least awkward part. Luckily, I scanned in that other gem before it broke. I should mention that this is the best gift I have ever been given. Jannie found it at a garage sale for 25 cents which is a bargain considering its original 35 cent price tag and then if you factor in inflation... anyway, my elbow holes are now successfully fixed.

So....registration is not so fun. My ghetto first attempt at this resulted in about 85 useless prints and 4 good ones. However, my second, only slightly less ghetto method, worked much better. Unfortunately for me I was out of the ink I wanted and had to use the gold. I also think I might be doing something wrong or I am just slow because the ink appears to be drying and getting all splotchy.

So I thought since I have been a wee bit behind in the posting I would just give my blog a makeover. Rachel and I are working on putting a website together which should be up sometime soonish, I swear. Living in Seattle is great and our apartment is really cute despite the slight old lady theme. It took a little while to get settled in but I now have a bed, desk and a very lovely wall(I live in the living room) that Rachel and Neal got for me. I really have no excuse for my poor blogger etiquette other then the fact that I am having entirely too much fun and don't want to deal with our very sassy "borrowed" internet. Ok, so I was supposed to be working on a poster for Neal's band and one of the guys told me to incorporate images from this book "Wild Animus". I read some reviews of the book online and basically the general feeling towards it was one of absolute disgust for both the writing and the subject matter. Out of 150 reviews the most positive one was by a person who said it was,"Not a complete waste of my life, being shot would have been worse". All I could gather from the reviews, besides that it may be the worst book ever written, was that it has something to do with a man on an acid trip in Alaska during the 1960's. This fine fellow has a girlfriend who works as a waitress to support his drug habit. There was also something about him thinking/being a sheep and that the girlfriend is a pack of wolves chasing him. The above is what came out of all that craziness. I probably wont end up using any of it for the poster but it did give me something to do today.

I am not really liking this font for this and I want something a little more handwritingish. The only problem is that every free "handwriting" font I can find is ridiculous. I found such charming titles as Rambo Killer and MA Sexy..come on now, you know thats how you would describe your handwriting ;) All bad handwriting aside, I am really, really excited to move to Seattle in a few weeks. Now all I have left to do is kidnap Jane and bring her and maybe an Elvis impersonator or two out there with me...

*Untitled*This is thesis piece number 5, one more to go:) It follows the orange one with the piano way at the bottom. After I had completed that one I was really sick of making trees so I put this one off for a while. I still have a few changes to make/ things to add but in theory this is what it should look like....I think.

This is something for thesis, it's a little creepier then i intended but, that seems to be the trend for this semester. I still have some work to do on it but for the moment I am stuck. Hopefully a little trip to Target this afternoon will help, I really just need to buy some new socks because its freeeeezing here;)
